Super Heroes Again!

This time it's a card!

for a new Dad (third time) whose birthday is today.

And a Batman mask...

His hair is so dark that you can barely see
the Batman mask
but the comic book words show
that he's a super hero!

February Card-Making Session

We had a wonderful time making cards on a day that didn't include ice or snow!  Everyone was there and we were able to make many new cards to fill the basket--and our current needs.

Sue brought a masculine Valentine's Day card kit.
It included dry embossing and stamping.
The quilt effect came from cutting away the corners.

Dianne's offering was a white on white card with a peephole.
We used a die cut as a stencil.  With three shades of a similar color
it gave the effect of depth for the backing of the peephole.
Some die cut weeds gave it a sculpted look.

Bonnie brought a bird design to assemble.
She die cut the branches for us.  Thank goodness!

Three

Carol brought some patterned paper and silver tape.
Her little stars added just the right color and design.

Three hours passed quickly--
and the note card basket is full.

Back to the Sewing Machine

and more Superhero Capes!  This time for some sisters in Vienna, one of whom loves super heroes. Maybe the gold or silver tissue lame will change the other sister's mind about super heroes.

Here's the gold lame cape with felt accessories: mask,
wristbands or cuffs and belt.

Here's the silver-lined cape with patterns
shown as I was choosing a color scheme.

The pattern worked great.
It's available at Hugs Are Fun web site.

Here's the final color combination.

The masks were made with a pattern
by way of Pinterest.

Top hint for this project:
Use snag-free Velcro.
Both sides are the same loop and hook.
Much softer for kids and easier to sew!
