Notecards with Watercolor Flower Panels

Enjoyed an afternoon of creating a set of notecards
for a neighbor who is moving away.
I used four pastel colors for the front panels.
Then, cut some scalloped ovals from
watercolor paper, stamping them
with an old wood block stamp
and VersaCraft black ink.
I used my watercolors from
Loew Cornell to paint
the flowers to coordinate
with the front panels.
I added a bow from my newly
organized ribbon bins.
So easy to find the right color
when the spools are arranged
by color!

Floral Themes for Cards

I built up this paper pattern by
cutting out multiple blooms to
layer for dimension.

This gray and yellow combo
used florals and plaids
on different panels.
I used the same technique
of cutting multiple blooms
to layer for added dimension.

I used some old stamps to
make my own floral paper.
I kept it one-dimensional
and added a layered panel
and a twill tape tie for dimension.
See below for a close-up.

A diagonal flap gave these
floral papers dimension,
mimicking the
butterfly wings!

A great way to make a pack of
four note cards using supplies
you already have,
some floral patterned paper
and the "trick" of
emphasizing dimension
to make it special.
